On Friday, October 4, an important meeting was held in Prizren to present the Regional High Nature Value (HNV) Project. The project aims to support sustainable development and promote high-value natural products in Kosovo and the region. The event brought together key stakeholders, including:
-
H.E. Olivier Guérot, Ambassador of France to Kosovo,
-
Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade,
-
Mr. Veli Hoti, Advocate of the Sharr Cheese Association from LexTrust LLC,
-
Renowned international and local experts.
The HNV Project is supported by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Embassy in Kosovo (Ambassade de France au Kosovo – French Embassy in Kosovo). It focuses on promoting Geographical Indications (GIs) in Kosovo – a powerful tool for recognizing and protecting local products with specific origins. GIs provide these products with a unique identity in international markets, ensuring their authenticity and increasing economic opportunities for local producers.
