The Project Manager of the Kosovo Institute for Intellectual Property, Mr. Plorat Pervizaj, took part at the meeting organized and hosted by the Director of the Industrial Property Agency, Mr. Nezir Gashi and the Attaché for Cooperation from the Embassy of France in Kosovo, Mr. Joseph Giustiniani.

The meeting’s main focus was on the latest achievements in joint activities towards strengthening the Geographic Indications System in Kosovo. On this occasion, Mr. Pervizaj, presented the latest developments for the preparations for the next seminar to be held in Kosovo for Geographic Indicators and Designations of Origin. Additionally, this meeting served in order to coordinate the activities and preparations for the seminar and workshops to be organized in Kosovo for the geographical indications supported mainly by the French Embassy through the Project being implemented by the Kosovo Institute of Intellectual Property and other upcoming seminars, expert missions and workshops supported by the TAIEX and the EU Office in Kosovo.

The upcoming seminar will be held in Kosovo from 12 to 16 November 2018. The main focus will be on drafting of the Product Specifications of the Sharri Cheese Product. Participants to this seminar shall be all relevant institutions and the Shari Cheese producers.
